I'm with dupersunc, just done one using a spark plug repair kit using a Timesert..
A bit more time-consuming to get it sitting just right, but well worth the effort.

Thanks very much for that, very much appreciated!
I'll probably find my manual tomorrow now..
Thanks again!

Thanks chaps, might it be a bit cheekier to ask for the unfaired one?

HI,
I hope someone can help before I have to resort to going to see my rapist.. I mean, Suzuki dealer.. as I can't find my factory manual anywhere..
Does anyone have a pic of the genuine manual pages for a mk1 of the wiring routing from coils to headstock/headlamp?
Also for very rear/tail light/indiblinkers rat's tail..
Thanks immensely in advance! Virtual beer!

Cheers, I'll give it a go

Cheers Garry, I figured they would be.. but you never know, 1 degree here, 1 degree there and electrics are pretty well black magic to me anyway!!
Thanks for that, swap time!!

These have completely different part numbers between mk1s and mk2s.. they look the same.. anyone know if they can be interchanged (obviously with the matching rotor)?
Cheers!
-
Not thought about that.. I'll give it a bash and see.

I'm building a mk1 with mk2 loom and electrics/clocks etc., does anyone know how to cheat the mk1 sender into being accurate with the mk2 clocks?
I'm figuring there must be something resistor-based that I can do..
Failing that, open to suggestions/abuse, but it seems a shame not to have a functional LCD fuel gauge as it's there..

Gosh, WAY better!!

On my way tomorrow.. do I wear a namebadge or a Carnation?

I wrote a GS1200SS off in July, it did indeed have 32mm carbs on it, so if you could find the jet sizes it could be done.
The parts from my crashed bike are on eblag, there is the set of carbs on there, but they are £££. He sent me the cheque for the salvage instead of the insurance company by mistake, £350.... The engine is up for sale too, but he wants £800 Steer clear of that as it had developed a gearbox issue just before I crashed it
Send me a PM if you have any questions, I'll try and help....
PM sent..

Awesome, thanks for that! Let's see what I have..

To you knowledgeable water cooled chaps..
Are SRAD 600/750 front wheels the same as K1 to K3 ones?
Looking for a solution to a mismatch on the project..
All advice gratefully received!

Not that much different really, if your stuck with something just ask.
Cheers, mainly looking for internal carb specs for comparison between 1200 Bandits and the SS. (as well as some speedo/tacho wiring, as people say they're the same as GSXR1000K1s, but they're not as 1000 tachos stutter on the SS)
MAIN thought process being that I might be able to convert a set of Inazuma 32mm 750 CVRs to my SS spec to then use in one of my project B12s, but keen not to buy yet another set of carbs that won't do the job.. two 1200 sets down already and it seems that the total overhaul parts cost of a B12 set put them into 'write off' territory.. unless someone knows different?
-
Not really.. lots of electrical and fuel system differences..
I have all the Suzuki manuals and nothing is even close.
-
Thanks, not tried that one, but sadly nothing there either..
-
Afraid not.. unless I'm blind, I can't see them (and I've already looked..)
Not GSF1200, its the GS1200SS I'm after.
-
Hi,
Anyone know of (or have) any of the above?
Struggling to find some spec and info that I need..
Cheers!

Thanks, etch prime underneath or straight on?
I have read that you don't need heat-proof paint, but I'd be worried about that..?
Braced swinger worth the trouble?

Make sure you brace the top of the arm so it hits the subframe when you go down a bumpy road..
