Hi folks. I’m sure I’ve seen adapters that allow the fitting of CV carbs to a early head but now can’t seem to find them anywhere. Did I imagine this or does such a thing exist. Thanks

I was going to build a bit of a rough n ready bike. Had planned on putting a gsx tank on it but then this turned up on Eblag so I couldn’t pass it up, £400 a bargain I reckon, so now I’ll have to powder coat frame etc as can’t put this on a bike that isn’t near mint.

Probably go with powder coating for longer lasting finish.

Hi folks. I’m about to get my frame, and swingarm ready for the build up of GS1000 project, what are people’s views on powder coat versus painting the frame? Obviously powder coating should be more resilient and longer lasting, but will painting be more true to original finish. Thanks in advance.

Can anyone confirm is the front part of the airbox on a GS1000 are different between the CV and Slide carb models. Thanks

You could fit one of these taps which should allow clearance for your carbs. Available on Eblag for £30.

It’s beenbadly painted by someone previously, so I thought getting it vapour blasted would get all manky paint off prior to re painting, if I just left it after vapour blasting woul dthe finish not tarnish? Thanks

Hi chaps. I’m getting my engine aqua blasted and then want to paint it silver. Does anyone know the paint code for engines, or which paint gives best/closest match. Thanks

It has got the remains of the plastic trim that attaches to bottom, does shafts have that trim?

Hi all, does the rubbers from a 750 fit the 1000 air box, mine are rock hard and can't find any for a 1000 only a 750. Thanks

Cheers Jonny, I took a punt it would fit and bought it, base is immaculate and I'll be binning the horrible seat part and using proper 1000 seat and cover
