just changed the rubber cover on mine,
it was glued on the old clock cover from the inside.
-
not 100% sure but think so, as tanks and panels are the same.
-
sold it for £1500 after the crank let go, prob be all them 3rd gear ragging it on the back wheel,
mate down the road has still got his rgv500 with a spare engine, getting big bucks now for them.

this was my old rg500 ex race bike I had for over 11 years, was good in its day, now a good 600 will be quicker,
it was just the sound of them four pipes on song, still miss it,
the motor ended up in a rgv250 frame, this was all done before the net was around, hours looking in mcn etc
good old days. sorry poor pics.

got some good bits fitted, carbs full dyna 2000 set up rear sets fox rear shock etc,
was going to sell it, but now I want to see how it goes, with the later wheels bigger tyres brakes and forks can only help, I hope !

all set for the road, and a track day at oulton park,
been for a blast and found it goes and stops well, the rear race pegs are a bit high, going to try and drop them a bit,
