Vm29ss to 33 carb needle/needle jet advice

Hi all. New here.
So i dug the 85f out of a 14 year hibernation a few months ago, and started to continue a few tuning tricks from last time….well i forgot what id done, only finding little bonuses id completely forgotten so long ago. 
Anyhow, the original carbs are still quite good, and a quick clean up and bore to 33mm original rubber tracks pulled from the removed airbox, and a 120mj, standard needles lifted 1 clip and 2 turns on the screw had them idling like a new bike. And a quick street run confirmed it was good except the mid- powerhole thats famous in these. 
Out at a trackday on weekend, really emphasised the lack of pickup out of slower stop start corners around 6-7k but ran very strong to the rev-limiter. I have a dyno run coming to get an AFR baseline and a general idea. 
My question is, is there a good known needle combination that can help that half-3/4 throttle drive of tight corners?
