DRich Posted May 1, 2024 Posted May 1, 2024 Hello everyone I’m new to the forum . My 80’ gs550e came with mikuni bs32’s I recently messed up number 3 carb trying to get out mixture screw . I looked just for a single body to replace it but no luck . So I bought another rack . I took it for granted that they are the same but noticed on new rack that the throttle valves 3 of them are #135 and the 4th is a #140 . The #140 one has a tiny hole just in front of emulsion tube which is directly above the pilot jet and the rest #135’s don’t . My original set has all #140 throttle valves and all have the tiny hole above pilot jets thru to the throat . My question is what’s the difference as far as performance and tuning from the new set with 3 #135 and one #140 valves with the one hole thru from pilot jet verses the set I have with all matching size valves and all have thru holes from pilot jet .Most of the carbs I find on Eblag have the 3#135 valves and one #140 scenario. Hard to find the set with all 140 valves and hole thru to throat . I included some pics . Top pics are original set and last two pics are new set . Thanks Quote
