1986 1100 slabby.
36mm flatslides. do they need a catch can?
i had the top breather hose running to a filter but it soon cloged up then had it above the chain but was getting oil driping, i have it runing into a plastic bottle now with a filter on top, but thinking maby a catch can would be better? but do you have the outlet running to the carbs? and how?

yer gave the original a good clean up, brushes are like a couple mils above replacement, seemed better for awhile but still get the times where it acts as a flat battery but batterys good and have changed solonieod and switch block. im guessing starters like 37 years old, still searching for a replacement

how big a job was it puting gsxr1000 forks on the slabside?
did anything have to be machined for them to fit

does anyone know if a later model gsxr1100 water cooled starter could fit a oil cooled slabside by changing the end mounting caps over? my old 1100 seems a bit slow to crank and sometimes you woukd think the batterys dead but then itll pick up again, i know they look the same from except the mounting end but ive only seen one in photos

Ah cool, so no problem fitting it? i think theres only approx 10mm size difference

anyone know if a gsxr1000 steering damper will fit an 87 1100 slabside

hi, yes oil does come out of the breather. I would like to put a catch can on it , so breather hose goes into the catch can but I don’t know where the the output hose from the catch can would go since there no air box to go into
