Really need to know what model, could be 101mm or 105mm or 100mm or 95 and so on ;)

Sorry I went back once and updated my request, which appears not to have come through,

the engine is an 1127 with diaphragm clutch.

Hi @Army, I have a Mag4 tank thats off the bike at the moment. I'm in Peterborough and depending where you are in Suffolk maybe your not too far away ? We could meet up and you can take photo's and measurements ? Definately not for sale tho !!!

I may well take you up on your offer.

  3. Good day

Could anyone who has an above fuel tank be kind enough to take some pictures at various angles as considering making one, if you happen to have one off the bike underneath would also be of great help.
I would really appreciate any help anyone can provide. (Like if you have one for sale)

    thanking you in advance.

  4. Morning

although my motor runs well enough, the outside looks a bit shabby to say say the least, after thirty years of people spraying and hand painting with pot black etc.

Is there a generally preferred method and what is the colour most used if any please?

    thanks in advance.

Seems like the OP has been frightened away anyway !!:S Probably not used to the friendly banter so abundant on here :banana:xD

I’m here now, but been away, think I’m going to stick with the 40s now I’ve seen the price of rubbers.

ps: At these cheap Chinese ones any good ?

He never said anything about having the 40mm CVs. Said he has 36mm CVs and RS40s. I'd probably go with the RS40s and just complain a lot about how much the bike sucks to ride in town.

    I like your thinking

  7. I have a GSXR 1127M  the motor is not running yet, one of the items it needs are carb rubbers it came with 40mm flat slides, which I have been told are a bit of a pig to set up and low end running is not the best.

By chance I have a set of 36mm cv’s which I believe is the standard carb  for this year so not really sure which size rubbers to buy as have no experience with running either item.

    so any opinions greatly appreciated.

also has anyone got the standard jet spec list for 36mm cv’s
