Chris, I have a few friends waiting for parts to be made and they have even sent him parts to be replicated. Yet no response when they try calling or emailing. Now they just wants their parts back but still no response.

Do you think thats professional way to run a company...? Im asking you cause u obviously are happy with his service. Im not doubting his workmanship or engineering skills, He has the most equipped private workshop in the country,  but the common trend is unless u live within a stones throw of the place and drop in every week to check on ur order, nothing gets done.

Im in Austria, my mates have orders from the Netherlands and France. Its easier to palm someone off wen they cant rock up to ur door in 5min and start asking questions. im not sure how close u live to Mark but i bet its a dam lot closer than me and my friends.

Have u ever had anything produced overseas with the fear of paying for something and nothing turning up...? Well thats how we all feel on this side of the pond.

I was talking about the stories and things that have been written on here nothing more

The guy who Makes tanks for Harris.  Showed me the Original tank he was commissioned by Mark to make, Mark decided he wanted to do a "deal" on the agreed price.  He was asked to return it.

Do you know the guys name ?

Good thing about opinions we all have one…normally based on folks own experiences, it’s a good forum is this not an arsebook page.

Did you RTFR……or just join to wind folk up with your witty banter

There are some smart and creative people on here (y) I don’t include myself in that description.

Welcome to OSS by the way :D from Gonzo :), more interested in what project you have than whether we do or don’t like how someone runs their business, we should all agree to disagree we like pics by the way :tu

I joined originally because I’m building a schwantz rep but when I see people saying things that aren’t factual and making things up about some one who is some what of a “motorcycling friend” then I will question it

you aren’t as bothered about the projects as shows in this particular thread it’s more about the way a business is run

Ermm, well the bloke who made the first one.  I see he has since made his own, and fair play they look decent.  I've also bought stuff off Mark too. I wouldn't rush to again.

Who was that then ? I’ve seen the tooling and how it’s done

I ordered 3 swingarms for rd 350s and also a tank, they never materialised, and the swingarm I had made for a bandit was shocking, it looked great from a distance but there was so much wrong it was just scrap,  the guy is a tool, he even said to me on the phone that he is not a business man and doesn't know what he's doing, it's a shame as they could have been the best out there.

I don’t pretend to know everything about everyone’s experiences or situations and like I said I’m sure there is truth to some of it. but I’m saying the ones I do know that are false or not as they get told as they actually are isn’t right either and in my experience everything has been expectional, yes waited a little longer than I would of wanted but that’s just how it is with that sort of work

the truth !!!  your saying people on here are making shit up because they are muppets.

I actually had a tank made a few years ago for a two stroke and when i picked it up they showed me and explained all about the moulds and tooling and what is getting said there is a load of rubbish, dont get me wrong there will be truth to some of this with people not happy with customer service which i read but a lot of the other stuff like this gets changed or complete nonsense, same as people owning the rights to the martek etc

Yeah he tried to exchange the guy Martin frame kit to a mate of mine for his Yoshi SP build that was featured in PS mag a few months back, my mate agreed and said let me know wen urve finished the frame and ill drop it off......a few weeks later Mark rang him and said can u drop off the bike and ill get the frame kit to you in a few weeks, my mate told him to Fuck off, he aint stupid, ur getting nothing without the frame in his hands.

My mate was going to sell me the kit cause he is not well and not building bikes anymore. It was a good deal everyone was happy. After it al fell through Mark contacted me and asked if i still wanted the frame kit....HAHAHAHA, i was like NO, i was only helping my mate out cause he wanted the cash and not the frame kit

2 weeks later Adam from Iconic motorcycles in California contacted my mate and he bought it straight up. now its on its way to the US.

Its a dam shame, he has the most high tech workshop in the UK, with CAD designs, 5axis machines, Hydraulic press moulds for tanks and 3D printing but cant run a business if hes life depended on it. The shop could be soo much more productive if he had a proper manager to run it.

Il'l never use him no matter how good he is.

I have all the suppliers i need, regardless how good he is

I have spent quite abit of time over at martek over the years and speak with the lads there time to time, and have gotten to see builds, frames and things first hand, when you here a few sides to a story its funny. a bit like this one so what your saying is basically nothing happened

He didn't make that...  Made by another craftsman who  decided he didn't want to deal with Martek.

Where do you get this shit from ! half of the stories are made up by muppets like you lot haha
