  1. Easiest way is a 600 bandit rear wheel, gs500 twin sprocket carrier, 530 chain conversion and a gsx750f (teapot) rear caliper.

Running all makes of 150/70 rear tyre you will have no issues , some manufacturers 160/60 will also fit

  2. The two o rings on the nuts you are on about mean you get a leak that for all the world looks like a failed head gasket between the two front cylinders

Buy a couple of genuine o rings and a rocker cover gasket and change the o rings  one at a time and retorque the nuts , if the leak stops then it is a cheap and easy fix, if it does not then you have more work to change the head gasket but the price of the o rings and rocker cover gasket will not be wasted ss you need them anyway

  3. Had one on my bmw f800gsa, very good quality, light weight and quiet with the baffle in , as good a quality as Laser,  Remus , Mivv , Leo Vinci that I have owned in the past.

Also had a set of their downpipes on a Kawasaki Versys 650 and again they were very good

  4. Spent ages in the early 90's trying to find a decent Guiliari seat for the Katana, no chance of getting a black one so settled for a new old stock white one which I picked up at a reasonable price from the Stafford show.

Luckily I tried it before I got it recovered and it was far less comfortable than the standard seat , so I got rid of it and ended up getting the standard eeat recovered in Alcantara

  5. Got to be careful with the Kat ones, mine is a 1981 production  bike registered in early 1982 ( definitely an SZ model )  which I have owned since 1984 when it had 3000 miles on the clock  ,it had silver bodywork and the silver  motor yet it has the later 20 bolt gasket with the 4 extra cam chain tunnel bolts which Suzuki reckoned was a mod that came in with the black painted SD engines along with the other engine changes

  6. My Giuliari seat on a very very long term (and often abandoned ) Suzuki GSX750ED project bike , seat was dirt cheap and recovered superbly by Saddlecraft in South Shields

  7. Way back in the early 80's the standard twin leading shoe brake on my T500 was shall we say poor, on my GT500a the single disc was little better so it ended up with the fork legs and double discs from a GT750b which were okay (ish).

Still fancy another T500 or GT500 but the prices are utterly ridiculous , in September I bought an 18 plate KTM 1090 Adventure for the same price of a good T500

  8. My gsx750 ef based  project has the stainless steel 4 into 2 headers from one of the oil cooled gsxr models fitted , they fit the ports and clear the sump when installed.

Not sure which one they are from , but can post a pic to see if anyone can identify ghem

  9.  I went through the route of taking out the clutch , swapping the gear change shaft etc etc and nothing worked, I spoke to a chap who drag raced gsx1100's who put me onto that spring.

I bought a new sump gasket and when I dropped the sump pan the spring was sitting in two pieces in the bottom of it, the bent section on one end that clips over a retaining boss in the bottom of the engine casings had snapped off .

That was in 1984 and 37 years and 50,000 miles later the replacement is still fine

  10. The small spring that works on the gear shift stopper cam ( parts nos 09443-08019) , it is accessible and can be changed by dropping the sump plate, it was gone on mine when I bought the bike  in 1984  (the bike went through 3 owners in 2 years because of the gearchange and they could not fix it )

Sounds similar to yours , changed mine and bike has been fine since then
