I fail to see how putting your hand on the exhaust you know its sucking ?????  if 1 and 2 are running then the timing is fine, check for a good spark if so then look to the carbs.

I can feel it sucking in a stroke were the other just two into one headder blows. I just put my hand on the pipes to quiet it down to listen for noises when i noticed it. Iy wil actualy suck your hand to the pipe. L

If the cams are 180 out, you'll get suction on the exhaust and it won't run at all. Any history on it?

Thabks mate. Its a project, evil bay parts. three year build. History i think was a motor come from crashed bike. but stood for 15 years. Engin idel fine and start easy, 1 and 2 is hot like normal operatiomal temp, but 3.4 issue. Im not shure about the coil wiring, but following the manual. White wire to 4 black wire to 3. It has a 750 cdi, but i was told they run on those aswell. Carbs rebuild. New coils, plugs. Think i need to step back and check valves again and timing.

    Cheers

dont Bandit ones need to see a resistor or something in the switch / loom :S

i,ve used 750 ones on 1100,s just shift early as the limit its higher

Thanks, i have 2 dead cylinders, trying to go back to original parts, but ile problably find out that it is the carbs after all, just put a therd time ..more new cab parts init. Replaced the coils, spark plugs, i have a 750 cdi it seem to work, but in my mind i know its the wrong part.

Just looking for the corrcet number. 32900 - 40c30 i think its this one.

  4. Man,,hahah,, im reading all this and my damn moneypit have a similar problem, but mine is a Eblag parts pit..so not one think came from the same bike..

I was looking at the coil wiring over all the models as it is impossible to know what model my loom is from...maybe "K" i see i made a note..

But their is like 4 different ways to wire the coils from 1988 to 1992 uk and us models..

    Makes me drink..

  5. Well, we will see today how it goes. I got ngks just to replace the old ones for now They are atleast 16 years old from sittiing in a dark gloomy wet scottish garage where i saves this motor from. So i tend to find the problem today. I will get sime denso plugs also. Thanks for the help.

I had a time not long ago where I was going to sell my kat, as it kept dropping into 3 cylinders and never the same cylinder that went down. Change plugs with new ones more time than I can remember. Did all the standard checks and all came out to be good, not until I started making the plugs that didn't work after a thought miles I figured out I had a lot of bad luck with getting  faulty plugs. So the kat was kept :D I now avoid  buying NGK plugs unless I have no choice ;)

    What plugs do you use

    Nice bike !

I may buy that head after all then, that stuff gets rarer by the day.
And for a ported head with new valve guides and valves the price
is way less than the price of new valves, let alone the work on it xD

Thanks...three year build.  i need to finish it now. Yea i was just looking around on Eblag...stuff usally is missing cam caps or somthing...parts are scares.

What are you looking for ?

There's a head for sale in Germany with all new and gofast stuff, larger valves, cams with slotted wheels, oil supply modified, etc.
    Ran only for 500 km ... 700 Euro + shipping, a steal !

All AC 1100 heads will fit / work with all 1100 bottom ends - even 1100 OC heads fit and can be made to work. EFE / 1150 heads generally liked for cleaner styling but no great performance gain. Lots of aftermarket cams available if performace required - std cams meh!

Do you kn9w if 750 heads are the same?
