So many years ago now, I managed to squeeze one behind my slabbie turbo fairing. Hardest part is the exhaust elbow angle I had 2.5" elbow and really tight angle and made exhaust same I.d all the way to 63mm outlet can. Its possible but time is needed to mock up pipe bends and tack in place. Obviously airfilter I found piper cross cone 60mm I. D was best placed as was taperd and fitted well. I lost three different makes before I found this out...

  3. Hi, at the moment I have a GS1000 project, but the motor is in need of loads of work. I have the chance to buy a tuned EFE engine, and would like to know the following if possible. I have these parts all for my GS1000,  a set of Mikuni R S flatslide carbs, dyna 2000 ignition, and a  pipe worx system off grumpy for the GS, and would these fit the GSX so  I can change the motors over ? I am sure the pipe is ok, as is the carbs ( i think ) not sure about the Dyna. I am asking as I dont have the money to replace these parts if not compatable, ill just try to build the GS back up,

cheers guys hope you can help

  4. Hi again, looking to buy a set of period looking rear sets, and wanted to know any tips on what is a good set that are still available, or if any other models rear sets are compatable. I have a mate who is ok with fabrication, as im a chocolate fireguard to be honest with any sort of fabrication

    Welcome to OSS

18" 3 spoke gsxr1100j but if you can find some not cheep at all.

Other options front b6 MK1 front, you can get bearing for the smaller spindle size I think, you will need to make plates for mounting the calipers. Rear bandit 400 has a 160 rear tyre on a 4.5" rim gsxr400 don't know size of tyre bandit 600 4" rim I think, gsx750f. All these are 17" wheels

use a gsx750 teapot rear caliper so you can keep the caliper on top of the disc instead of it going under, saves massing relocating the torque arm.

    cheers very helpful, thank you
