Also, before you put the carbs back on again, you could try to throw the inlet rubbers in boiling water for a few minutes. Worked pretty good for me, could save you buying new ones.

For me the header no succes, hanging way to low under much pressure and with single gasket against front framerail. I have no big heater so not able to bend it any further. Have to be another exhaust.
That's to bad, did neither fit on a powerscreen with front framerails..

I can use a dyno of a friend now and then, might give it a go comparing...

I used 36mm of a gsxr 750 on my 1100F engine. You can use the original rubbers, but might need to put them in an electric kettle for a few minutens

Hi, in regards your problem I have an 85 slabby fitted with an 1100m engine and I run 40mms with an original airbox. I did need to grind down the inside of the frame slight, not a significant amount and certainly not enough to cause problems after that I had to cut two slots in the top of the airbox turned what I cut out upside down and plastic welded them back into place. It's still a very tight fit but is doable. Am going back to the garage later so if I can get a half decent pic will post up for you.
Managed to fit the airbox. Heated up the bottom and dented in on the section where it will hit the frame. Does fit ok now. But thanks anyway!

You could try using the carb rubbers from a 750 j/k. These will bring your carbs 5mm closer to the cylinder head to give a little more space.
Thought they didn't line up, but will have another look tomorrow.

tlr is hydraulic and tls is cable, so you will need master cylinder etc, but yes its straight forward.
Thanks!

Thanks! Easy swap?

Got a TLS with a 5 bolt clutch.
Might want to put a 6 bolt in it. Will it be possible to use a TLR clutch? Seems to be easier to find than a 6 bolt TLS

Not too bad of a collection!

Can't tell you about the 1100 specific. But it won't turn a bike directly into a wobbly mess. If a bike needs a damper, you'll notice it quick enough, even with 'normal' speeds.

Odd as a 15/52 is lower geared than a 15/48 and with a lower rolling circumference goes less distance per rev - maybe it runs a taller profile to equal a 60 profile on GSXR ? Yes weight would be an issue on accel. but as a general / touring use, top speed wouldn't be so crucial?
The GSXF has an 150/80, so yeah that'll be about the same as the GSXR then.

I was surprised to see that an 1100F used 52T rear as the GSXR1100 uses a 48T std. and mine used to pull a 45T quite easily. So no you don't want to go bigger unless you want zero front tyre wear! I thought they were both 17" rims?
Gsxf has a 16" rim. The F is a lot heavier than a 7/11 tho, wouldn't that be a factor as well?

Use the stock 15/48 that the gsxr1100 uses. 14/48 if you want to save front tyre wear.
Thanks!

Hello all, my first post here.
I have a '89 powerscreen engine stored and decided to do something with it, so I bought a '89 slingshot 750 frame to build a 7/11 from there on.
But now I can't really find any information on the sprocket ratio. Is it common to use the standard sprocket size of the engine, or is there a recommended one?
Hope someone can help me with this, thank you in advance!
Running Problems 750 K - Carbs ?

Test with wide open throttle. The actual readings are not very accurate on most testers anyway, as long as it gives a decent value and all 4 are on the same level it says enough to begin with. Since 1 is way lower, lift off the cam cover and check valve clearance and if there's anything different from the other 3 going on. It's not a lot of work on a 750K
