  1. Hey  :)
Also very new here and also doing something to a similar bike as yours. Super interested in what you have done to fit the swing arm? I am considering a deal with both ends of a GSXR from 85, which I hope won't differ a whole lot  :)
Looking really good. Can't wait to see more of it  :)

  2. My GS750 (16v), so GSX for the US, is going to have her carbs re-jetted - for pods and different slip-ons - tomorrow.
I know that each bike is it's own tune, but I would like some indication on where to start... who knows, maybe we will get it running great at first try, with your help...  :)
    Pics coming tomorrow, promise  :)

  3. Yeah... thought about cutting the side panels, but I am missing the top tap, on the right side panel... already bought some epoxy glue to chop one off and try to glue it where I need it... we'll see how it goes...  :)

Here's a picture of the underside of my GSX1100 ESD tank, whilst I don't think this style of tank would suite your bike the cutouts may be similar to other GSX models?

    Thank you.

This does indeed look very similar to the one on my bike.
A quick search for the model of your bike, shows the Katana version, which has a very similar looking tank as the 83+ 750's, like mine.

If this is correct, does it "need" the side covers, or does it also have an empty spot between the seat and the tank?

No sorry, tanks are not all the same.

Other tanks can be made to fit but the gsx750 (over here we call the 16v gs750 a gsx ;)) if your thinking of putting a older tank like a gs750/850/1000 (8v) the tank tunnel may fit but you may find you need to adapt the front/rear mounts.

I thought so... thank you Sir  :)

  6. Rookie question...
Are Suzuki's tanks interchangeable? More specifically, if I decide to change the tank of my 84 GS750, what would be a direct fit?
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi and welcome to oss,

As been said you can put a 4.5" gsxr rear wheel in your standard swing arm or a bandit 600 which is 4" (...)

Front end you can go for slabside or slingshot or gsx750f.

    Hi,
Very new to the forum and just bought a 1984 GS750e, which has already seen some mods (still trying to find her style), but I am looking for some info on this and if it's a direct fit, particularly the rear wheel and the widest tire I will be able to fit in the existing space.
    Many thanks in advance.
