hi, I've a low mileage early 850 engine with a kick-start and a tired 750 engine, just wondering if the 850 internals would fit in the 750 cases, has anybody tried this or is it to much hassle
-
Mmm cheers for the info, iv taken the head off the 1000 chain drive and slid it onto the 850 and the studds were ok, iv a gs1100 barrels and cv head which im probably puttin g on the 1000 to then use bandit carbs, iv 750,850, 1000, and 1100 engines here so will have a play n see just what will fit on what, iv just picked up a head stamped s4 today so i think iv 4,5 6,7,8 now so will check and post the findings, i know the 1000 pistons have bigger pins so thats a no no swap to the smaller engines

Its off a chain drive as its off my bike but its damaged, iv a gs1100 head n barrels that fits the 1000 too, i tried the 1000 head on 850 barrels today n it seems to fit, no doubt all will be apparent when i try to build one up

Hi all, while trying to find a good head from the 6 iv got i tried a 1000 slide carb head on an 850 as iv read on a forum the stud holes are wrong but it slides on, tho i didnt have any barrels on at the time, but checking the cam chain on cms they all seem the same so does anybody know any other reason they carnt be put on a 7 or 850

Looks like bandit forks, going to try a bandit wheel first to see if it fits in the front, think a b6 rear flys in the swinger so can go to that width with no probs i would think think

Cheers that would be great

Hi all, im just wondering if anybody has rebuilt their 750 spoked wheels with 17" wider rims, will it work ok, clear the front calipers still, any advice appreciated

Hi all , in need of advice please, iv just removed a dot head and cams to transplant onto the bandit and found some pitting on a couple of the back n sides of the inlet lobes, im assuming i need to replace this cam and am wondering if i should just get a standard one or go for a upgraded pair and if so do i get upgraded gsxr j or b12 cams

Cheers, iv a b12 for the front which goes in with a cut down pin and some lc headrace bearings on a 750 so hopefully the same on the thou, will have a look at the 500 carrier as i was going to use an offset front sprocket and some machined off the b6 carrier to get the chain alignment

Thats great cheers for the information, its a heap at the moment but i will post pics as i go

Hi all, im new here so please bear with me if im asking something thats been covered to death, iv bust broken a mk2 b6 and tried the rear wheel in my gs1000s and its gone straight in, will need the carrier reducing a tad but im just wondering if this wheel is strong enough, iv done the b12 swinger n wheel in a 750 before but dont fancy doing it again if the 6 is ok, any thoughts
