Ride more economically then. On a standard 12 I have seen over 50mpg doing distance half motorway 70-80 & the same on A roads with some very hard acceleration to overtake some long lines of traffic

I dodge more salads than you. I have a Hagon rear shock and bloody love it, one of the best things I have done to my bike was fit that

The general consensus on here is that POR 15 is the best tank sealant (question arises regularly, including from me in the past). I lined a small tank with it last year and it works well. Buy the kit with the primer and all the preparation chemicals. It's not cheap but decent stuff that works properly rarely is It may be prudent to examine in detail why your tank is leaking as you may have to have some holes braised first after rust removal before lining.
Inside of the tank is practically rust free it's just in 2 spots where new metal has been welded in to make it fit that it's seeping.
Yes I can take it back but he is that bloody slow it will probably be a year before I get it back.

Right I'm sure most of you are going to say get it welded up propperly but are fuel tank sealers any good?
I have a heavily modified tank so cant just swap it.
at 2 points fuel is seaping through. I left fuel in for 2 weeks and it's not dripping just moist around the welds and really want to get the bike finished, is it worth using a sealer?

See other thread - come on, get the grey cells working its a 4 cylinder bike that fires one cylinder (power stroke) every 180 degrees - each coil fires every 360 degrees / once every revolution alternating between 1&4 and 2&3.
Easy to tell if you get the DRL300 wrong pulse count - set box to 6000 - if it stutters at 3000, double the count. If it stutters at 6000 - its correct and if it doesn't stutter at 6000 then half the pulses as its trying to limit at 12000!
I still can't get my head round how it works piggybacking let alone that.
I will give it a try next time I'm free to tinker with it

I have a Dyna DRL-300 rev limiter that I'm trying to fit on my mk1 B12 & I need to know how many coil firings (pulses) there are in 2 revolutions.
I'm hoping that someone here can shed some light on this.
-
I' bloody close lol.
I need to find out the number of coil firings (pulses) in 2 engine revolutions.
I' really starting to regret fucking about with my bike now lol

Had one on a drag bike and they are fairly idiot proof! Red to 12v side of coils or switched ign 12v, Black to earth and blue and white to the opposite side of coils, piggy backing the extg. connection. Apply 12v to brown wire to make it work.............. not much to get wrong. Do you know if it actually works?
I have tried the blue and white. But still no luck.
It runs if I piggy back them off the existing ones but obviously this bypasses the limiter.
Still scratching my head

Yes I believe followed the instructions for setting the internal switches correctly. Off on on
And already tried putting it on an ignition live rather than the positive on the coil
-
I was assured it worked and it was from someone reputable.
I thought the brown was only If you were using a quick shifter.
Will give it a try thank you

I have a Dyna DRL-300 rev limiter that I'm trying to fit on my MK1 B12
I have followed Dyna's instructions but must be doing something wrong as all the bike does is turn over when the unit is connected.
The bike runs fine when the unit is bypassed. If anyone has successfully fitted one of these any advice would be greatly appreciated

Anybody know where i can get one of the spacers. I have a lock up clutch fitted and a large casing to accommodate it but i want to fit a window cover.
I have seen spacers on the past but cant find one now!

Im stripping the speedo on my MK1 B12.
Im doing this because the chrome ring at the top is damaged. YES i could swap the whole unit but im an awkward cunt & want to keep the milage correct.
Now my question is when i remove the needle (because the new one isn't faded and will match the new rev counter needle & im wanting to fit white dials)
There is a coil spring thingy. When the needle comes off this un coiles. Is this set at a specific tension, will me buggering around with things fuck the speedo forever????

Cheers for that

Are there any replacements for the clamp that holds the leavers on that do not have the mirror mounts on? Having the post there bugs the he'll out of me

Thanks for all the help guys I finally got it sorted. It was the spacer for the inner basket that was slightly too large stopping it from spinning freely.

I have just fitted a GSXR 1100 clutch. And for all the grief of sourcing the parts etc I'd just fit a standard Bandit one with a lock up.
If you really want to fit a GSXR I'd fit one of the newer one's I think it's the 2007 750 that fits. Far Eaiser to source the parts

I have read and re read the article about the conversation but I'm having issues with sorting the biting point. No matter what I try I can only get the clutch to a point where when I am in gear with the clutch pulled in, the bike is trying to creep foward.
Now my understanding is that where the guide says to drop a bearing in, in my case the bearing isn't large enough. I have tried increasing the size, but regardless of what I do it continues to behave the same way. Can anyone shed any light on this

Yes, anything can be made to fit.
Not saying what I have fitted untill the bike is finished though
