I had a 750j with M seat unit. It was done by previous owner so i dont know how much hassle it was but it didnt look out of place and dont recall it being a lash up in anyway.

For a while i always wondered why more of these arnt being modded and used. I thought they were a pretty good bike when new. Now all of a sudden there seems to be a few appearing on here.

That looks fairly tidy. Clean up and use as is I reckon. Did you get it cheap?

Strip em down mate, i had a gsxr with similar issue and it was corrosion/lack of maintainence on the spindle. All weather skanky bike. Much like your machine.
