  1. Got my lovely new (to me) 850 barrels, must say I'm impressed with the condition of them.
  2. Pistons were moving freely, studs came out no problem at all, problem was some muppet figured JB Weld would make a good base gasket! Still, my 850 replacement's should arrive on tuesday so every cloud and all that!
  3. Might try making a 750 boxer engine out of what's left! Lol! Be fun for a go cart...
  4. Anyone else had to be as drastic to get their barrels off their crankcase? Never had as much trouble with any other engine I've worked on. It came down to having to do this!
  5. My GS is a bit silly now so I was planning on binning first gear, using second as first and so on. First two gears are too low but the top ones are too high. Anyone know of any other bikes with compatible cogs which would stretch the lower gears and shorten the higher ones. The bikes getting silly horses but I really don't need it geared for much over the ton, just don't want to do it the easy way (sprockets) as that'll just make the lower gears even less usable.
