Blue
Had this a long while now, it wasn’t built for a Suzuki engine if I do fit one in there I’d have to make up all new engine mounts & sort out how to put oil in as the frame sits on top of the oil filler plug. What do you reckon? 2 Quote Link to comment
eddiegsx
Do you know the origin of the frame? Suppose you could have a filler fabricated and mounted on the clutch cover . Quote Link to comment
Blue
I know who built the frame & it seems it may be 1 of 1 as I can’t find out anything. I thought that maybe the way to go with the oil filler. Not sure about engine mounts etc Quote Link to comment
Dezza
How tight is it? The oil filler is very close to the frame spar on my Spondon frame and that was definitely designed for a Suzukl engine. The cap just about comes off and a flexy funnel will just about go in. Quote Link to comment
vizman
fit a suzuki engine (like it has in the picture?) or G.T.F.O 4 Quote Link to comment

SiBag
As far as filling it with oil, Simples. Do what any Bim SB6 or SB6R owner does, Use a length of tube and a funnel... Quote Link to comment
davecara
Turbo it, fit an FBM lockup (other lockups are available) and fill it through the lock up cover That's the most sensible thing I can think of 5 Quote Link to comment

Paulm
Or just give it to me and i’ll fit my spare turbo motor and kit to it, not sure about it having Gurls blouse on the tank though! Quote Link to comment

Blue
I've been sorting out the rear wheel alignment, as the swing arm had been narrowed on one side the wheel needed moving over to the right but this wasn't possible as there isn't enough thread. I could've fitted a vfr hub & fitted a 4 bolt bike or car wheel but I'm not keen on that look. I've been searching to get answers on using a ducati wheel, I figured that when a ducati wheel has been fitted to a triumph sssa they fit a 15mm spacer behind the wheel then rethread the axle & cut it down. I hoped I could do something similar. I liked the look of the multi spoke wheel as opposed to the 3 spoke but everytime one came up on Eblag they were £200 but then 1 came up for half that so I bought it, it turned out that I only needed a 5mm spacer behind the wheel. So I removed the 4 locating pins & placed the spacer against the hub & made some new pins out of some high tensile, 5mm longer & pressed them back in through the spacer. I've made up a conical washer/spacer to hold the wheel onto the axle. 2 Quote Link to comment
Blue
Today I pulled it apart to get it out of the garage & reassembled it in its new home, hopefully I can get on with now 3 Quote Link to comment
Blue
Swapped the front end over but may need to loose the shrouds due to restriction on turning circle 2 Quote Link to comment

Blue
Yes I understand its fairly normal with these types of frame I may get a little more though by removing the shroud Quote Link to comment
Blue
Been busy sorting the engine out making up mounts & 1 needs moving. Played around making cardboard templates even 3D ones deciding on which way to go with the front side mounts. Chain run looks good but might need to go 520.Bought a matching front wheel but need to change the discs. 6 Quote Link to comment

Blue
The R125 seat i bought for this is a nice seat & I like the way that it's held in place by simply putting a bolt through the seat but it don't butt up to the tank very well. After spending ages online looking at different seats & what might fit as I don't have a breakers nearby. Taking the bike or tank there to try one wouldbe a pain so I took a gamble & offered £12 for one that I thought might do the job. A lexmoto viper seat arrived today which I'm well pleased with 1 Quote Link to comment
