'79 GS1000 fork/caliper upgrade?

Hi, looking to start a café racer project and have a bike lined up. It has a single front break caliper and looking to at least get the standard stanchion on the right side to add the same year caliper, will the hub accept the rotor or are the single/double break hubs different? I want to keep the wire wheels but would be interested in maybe upgrading the forks and calipers to nissin four pots... if its relatively straight forward. If not ill just upgrade the spings/oil and good pads on the stock calipers... thoughts and experience anyone? Thanks Shane

The wire wheel hubs will take a rotor on each side. It's pretty easy to upgrade the early front brakes to a set of Gurls blouse VFR800 rotors and SV650 calipers with some brackets and spacers.
