no not bad to set up, you do need to give yoshimura all the engine specification for your engine ie capacity, compression, cams /timing valves etc and they build the carbs to your bike you are also supplied with sets of main jets etc either side of the set fitted

I also had ray debben to help set them up !

they are stunning set of carbs almost like fuel injection, pick up very quickly so you need to be careful mid corner I am looking at trying to install a TPS and link that to my programable ignition

Thanks man, so really they are the final piece to a build for best bang for buck out of them? Just curious how do they adjust the needle? Is it just spacers the same or something else?

Update so far I managed to do quite well for the 2019 season of formula Prostocks fp2 and won the championship including being presented with my trophy by Mr J Reynolds and all round nice chap 

following on from my successful season and the fp1 and fp2 class rules changing I decided to sell the gsxr 750 and use the the big engined gsxr 1216 in the fo1 class for 2020

which also

meant I freed up s bit of space in the garage which does make like a bit easier I have been meaning to get around to finish off the spare gs1000 Yoshi after I had accumulated enough spares 

i coped the Harris frame bracing and have most of the engine ready including straight cut primary gear 

a friend copied and machined some Vance & Hines exhaust D stubs that ray Debben had lent me after he met Byron Hines and he gavel him the set 

so after modifying and welding the exhaust headers I have now made the viper exhaust system fit the Billet D headers 

I also have a rickman frame being repaired after a previous monkey had attacked it and badly brazed modification this is at Wasp near Stonehenge so looking forward to getting it back soon 

I will post more pictures when I get it back

Although I have managed to stay at work m27 can’t  stop now I am trying to squeeze in a bit of bike stuff
I worked out I have enough of the big spares to build another gsxr slabby 750 race bike so following delivery of a very large parcel from Robbo_64 

I thought I had better get going 

first pass at degreasing before skimming all my nuckles with a scotch brite

Bit of an update I am planning on racing two classes this year if it ever gets started 

both with north glos road race club I will try to race csbk if we can travel across Europe such as Schleiz which is there road race although this is very much up in the air 

so fp1 with my big engined slabby and fp3 which is pre injection 750 so yzf zx7r gsxr 750 etc, this means I can enter two bikes at the same meeting as the classes don’t clash, as friend I race with keeps telling me, to get more practice !

I had been look for a suitable gsxr 750 srad and mentioned this dupesunc, he always seems to have contacts and gsxr 750 was suggested  which was only a few miles from work ! So clearly meant to be

it had been used by Scott redmond at performance bike mag and a few other owners and the latest sev, had also upgraded some parts  but had been preparing it to go back on the road so headlight etc will be coming off again I will  try to keep up to date with any additional mods that rules allow but below are piccys as she is now

I believe it is sev who I bought it off has upgraded quite a lot but I will need to get a proper race fairing with oil catch tray 

that will be easier as it now got full akro ti exhaust so fits much neater underneath the bike

So lately I have Been repairing fibreglass and mucking about with the srad a former owner generously donated a race fairing which had and interesting colour choice

I am hoping to get a few upgrades including a full set of brembo brakes a bigger cooler etc and anything that will help life at the track, so Sam has fabricated a cup puller for the rear spindle which makes wheel changes a bit easier, and I have got hold of some quick release fittings for the front of the tank

Sam is also making some spacers for the front Dymag so the fit the wider yoke spacing in the srad 

I also managed to get out at oulton Park with big Bertha blew a few cobwebs out and frighteneda lot of blades r1 and gsxr 1000 not bad for 35 year frame

Hmm tidy maybe one day
jane was off playing with her horse so had a few mins to dry fit the brembo’s and the billet adapters, dry brake joints,  Dymags Ebc discs and a lot of titanium

yes if you could I am getting to grips with the quick shifter but lights have died

That’s good to hear hopefully it’s all picking up 

it looks like it will be ok for me and Dave to race with the German classic Superbikes championship this year so his 1200 will get an outing 

if we can find out what the idiot lights are I can pop some new ones in 

I have got the correct resistor to wire in for the fuel pump so I am getting some practice with the soldering iron

Do you mind that’s the original gs/gsx engine

Hi had originally built big Bertha to use in Europe with German club i also race with and those rule allow more modern front suspension as the bike it in the open class

But since i am also able to race with the formula prostock club and ngrrc I had the problem of the front forks

I had already been using Maxton so decided to upgrade some gsxr 750 j k forks this meant the only original part is the cast lower leg as cartridges and longer stanchions now fitted

However I still need to sort some yokes and as the bike has had some many changes I realised that some adjustable trail yokes would be great best option luckily a friend of mine Donovan over in South Africa acc billet eng also race a slingshot and came up with these billet yokes they are really well engineered and am looking forward to trying them out

yes would be good to meet up we will try and get over to a couple of the CSBK rounds next year with luck

i quite like Schliez and Oschersleben it looks lie spa is off the calendar until they start being sensible with what they charge the club
