Katana frame brace

Recommended Posts

Made a bit more progress, wheels are painted and have new tires, engine is fully bolted in, speedo bracket made, chain jockey wheel done,  body work prepped and primer. Front mudguard cut down and painted. Next on the list is the wiring loom and battery tray.

Nice bracing there. I especially like the steering head pieces. Most of the rear stuff is nice-to-have, but that stuff up front is critical. That and the pieces around  the motor. Any consideration using high-strength bolts to hold the motor in?

Getting very close now I am just about to fit the coils. Does anyone have any pics off Dyna coils fitted as I can’t remember what way the wires go ect it’s been so long since I stripped the bike.

Did you get any ideas for the jetting? Im on k&n oval filters, 125 mains, and lifted the needles a touch. Ive not done enough miles to know if im close.

The spacer was 2.75mm, mostly.

I trimmed it down to 2mm. Not yet had chance to have a spin out though.

Grumpy now sells LeDAR induction kits for OSS bikes so anyone running stock carbs with no airbox and an unrestricted pipe can easily and cost effectively get their bike running well. Just like in 1985:banana:
