1-4 coil

was out for a ride yesterday  and bike cut on to 3 cylinders   AA called out said coil has gone down ?   any ideas as coils do 2 cylinders thanks in advance

I would suspect either plug, plug cap or HT lead to affected cylinder.

Check yer carb may be crap in it. My bike has just dropped the same coil

If you had a bad coil it would of gone down to 2 cylinders not 3.

As said above, check plug, plug cap, ht lead.

Always found AA/RAC to be OK with cars but they seem to be a bit lost with motorbikes

checked spark from coil last night  plug sparks out of engine but bike fires on 3 when plug in engine 1 down pipe cold scratching head now   any ideas

If you're getting a spark I'd be looking at fuel supply on that cylinder. One old trick you can try is to pour a TINY amount of fuel into the offending cylinder via the plug hole,replace the plug and start the engine. If it fires on all four for a moment, odd's on it's fuel.

Could be old plug breaking down under pressure, & new one is dodgy. Swap with No4 cylinder to make sure before stripping carbs
