Build your own.

(y) but be clear that you will probably spend more achieving this if you compare apples with apples - big ££££ difference in building a heavy wall std alloy tube frame using MIG versus a lightweight thin wall chrome moly  tube using TIG or gas rod - my cost for the Argon and specialist rods alone come to over £500 - add in approx £300 for the T45 tube, when they ask for £2K for a basic frame - your getting a bargain! - - you got to want to build one

added reason why - you got to want to

If you want a new frame kit including a tank you're not going to get much change from 6 grand if it's going to be made to the same spec as anything that came from Spondon. Getting a complete bike is going to be the most cost-effective option. Whatever its spec you will have the frame kit as a base to build the bike to the spec you want. The age of the frame is probably not much of an issue. The quality of materials used by Spondon was top notch so will probably be straightforward to get back into shape. It's not as if these bikes are going to be used by dispatch riders throughout multiple winters with little maintenance. They spend 90% of their lives in bits in people's sheds.

a big tube frame built too a spec as per that picture in my opinion £10,000 ish with v5 and mot ready to go

gia frame and tank swingarm kit is £5500 ish then build what you want in to it

harris magnum bikes in 531 tubing come up from time to time 4000 -> depends on spec

not seen many frames come up for sale .

its not a hobby for some one on limited funds unless you want too build over a few years

Just trawl all the sites posting wanted Ad and maybe you'll get lucky, some people realize they'll never finish them (family or sudden change in lifestyles) and then with a gentle nudge decide to sell them, you have nothing to lose only a little time :tu
