Dot head

Does it have to be a dot head off a gsxr or will a gsx750f one give similar result, going onto b12, also I have some gsx-f cams would they improve a bandit if I keep bandit head just trying to work out best way to go

The j,k and f dot heads are the same as far I am aware.

but the cams though... he's also asking are the cams from an F at least as good as bandit cams?

Just to say - I have a dot head on the shelf if you need, As for cams you'll have to enquire further but when you say " f " model do you mean a 1985 gsxr 750 f or a teapot ?

If gsx power screen they are still a soft can best with gsxr cams

Aye did mean the dreaded teapot cams as I have a set on shelf , now sourced a gsxr dot head with cams thanks for the offer though

The cams of the 750F aren't too bad, in Performance Bikes 1995 (I think) their bike made 90 hp at the rear wheel - which is a gnats todger away from the short stroke GSXR. I believe the later 748cc F motors did have slightly better cams than the early ones, or at least I seem to remember reading it in the press blurb. The 1100F cams are a fair bit better than the B12 cams and the 750F won't be too far off.

1100 f cams any particular year also another question that's most probably been asked a million times dot head on b12 which plugs do you run or doesn't it matter

I don't think there was any change  to the cams during the  life of the 1100F, so all will give a good boost. The plug issue came up last year , Fatblokeonbandit and other  multiple  dot head  converters, said that B12 plugs worked fine.
