Took the Magnum to @Allspeedsdyno today which was an interesting afternoon. We ended up going up to 137. 5 main jets, 2nd clip from bottom on needles, 3 turns out on air mixture screws. Bike made 260.51 hp @9570 revs and 147.33 ftb @ 8050 revs, max boost was 14.55 @ 9500 revs. Not to shabby for a home shed build. It needs a bit more fuel at top end so maybe 140 or 142.5 main jets Nick thinks. IMG_20211130_154205.thumb.jpg.e19d58e601e54041271213e103d5bc5a.jpg IMG_20211130_142033.thumb.jpg.bc9221c6abc11b0b2fe06ea6499ef9c4.jpg IMG_20211130_135718.thumb.jpg.c79c8885631d99b3ad9ea2c3e4af8c05.jpg IMG_20211130_154538.thumb.jpg.4fae86d8e9c4d604950c04f6a625a8aa.jpg IMG_20211130_174046.thumb.jpg.466a4d9b59e0ffdd7b766c64a17cb184.jpg

Reading about your build made me sign up to OSS (which i should have done ages ago!), mainly to say great work, great attention to detail. That's a bike i'd like a closer look round, love it

I will take that as a compliment, thank you.

Hacksawd the arm in 1/2 at the pivot tube tonight. Need a 13mm spacer making up & welding in then re-weld the brace back in. Sort the top shock mount out on the top brace. Get drag slots made get them welded in, may use stepped drag slots, we will see. Braced will be at least 75mm forward of where they were. Pics are just a mock up.

I had to do a quick check of your country location when I saw Dick Johnsons #17 Sierra in the background.

Stuff turns up in the strangest places.

Nice bike.

Only live 3 miles away from the NY500 there was some cool stuff there today and we're definitely strange around hear O.o :D

I spoke to someone that runs the same mechanical scavange pump as me who raced at the salt flats. He said the pump gears eat into the aluminium end case so he fitted a brass bush insert into the case. Took mine to bits for a look see and sure enough it had marked it a little. So I got Gsxrsam to fit a phosphor bronze insert into the end of the scavange pump B|IMG_20220611_153816.thumb.jpg.9c2d1ad1cd3e94949686f07b30b479e4.jpg IMG_20220611_153836.thumb.jpg.d4095aa9d2de6b976d7cf60d51044ca9.jpg IMG_20220611_153900.thumb.jpg.3c191187c9b09f8fcfb168a70e8cc0be.jpg IMG_20220611_155718.thumb.jpg.7d61ffd3f40993979ade3be4e69d254a.jpg

After riding the Turbo Magnum a bit it didn't feel quite right handling wise like it had a bit of a wallow even in a straight line. So I took the front end to bits. Turned out one of the dust seals on the head stock was rubbing on the frame just a little bit. Fitted new bearings and different dust seals and went for a spin today. Hey presto problem solved an what a beast this thing is. Am now thinking the back shock is a bit stiff but happy days :banana::banana:IMG_20220612_141336.thumb.jpg.4092a44c47c9391375ca60442496253e.jpg IMG_20220612_141859.thumb.jpg.5035a5c7bec8e84c1ca2ad7eb91e6fec.jpg IMG_20220612_141914.thumb.jpg.6cf7493c929afe610bda71ee2d904e1a.jpg IMG_20220612_141851.thumb.jpg.26406cbc699f030bf1419cb0612fc3bc.jpg
