Just fitted brand new one's that came in the carb kit. Lifting the needles then fitting bigger mains seemed to make the biggest improvement. 1 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Bigger main & pilot jets arrived, fit the 130 mains first to see what happens one thing at a time. Seemed to run good without the plenum so bolted it all back together. Runs pretty good through the rev range sat in the yard. Boost gauge is showing boost when revving up so am happy at the moment . 3 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Getting to old for kneeling down nowadays so this evening I knocked up a bike bench from some scaffold board a mate gave me, some 4x4 fencing and a old railway sleeper. 8 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
Better picture of bench. Scaffold board, 4x4 fencing, 1/2 railway sleeper and 4 inch nails, verv simple but effective. 5 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
Went to start bike up and it ran like a bag of shit. Saw one of the old breathers that are now pressure pipes was kinked a d on further investigation I found some slivers of rubber in one of the float jets. Rubber had come from the inside of the fuel pipe where I had been swapping over to auxiliary tank hanging from the roof. 1 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
After fitting the new brembo clutch master cylinder the clutch still dragged stripped the b12 clutch down for investigation. I had fitted a 1127 back gear to the clutch along with matching oil pump drive and alternator gear. Gear on the back sticks out a little which I hadn't noticed before so I robbed the one from my spare b12 engine a d swapped the other gears back. I could see the inner hub had been catching the outer hub a little bit, hopefully it will be alright now. 4 Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Stripped the scavang pump down to seal it up as it had been weeping oil a little. 3 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
I quite like spinning the back wheel when the bike runs properly 3 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
Should have said the clutch now works perfectly bike feels fast on the road although the front end feels somewhat vague. 5 Quote Link to comment
Wagola
I fuckin love that bike @clivegto the colour scheme is spot on now you've changed the frame colour. Just one comment if I may ?? The seat unit looks set a bit too high ? Might be some of the camera angles as it looks better in some angles. From the front and side on it looks ok. But from the rear angle the seat unit looks a bit big ? Just my opinion but what do I know ? Quote Link to comment
clivegto
@Wagola Seat unit would have looked better lower but I have long legs with failing knees hense the hight. I also tried to keep the angle of the seat unit to the angle of the tank. Also though why not show of the frame as its about the frame really. Plan is to try the handling out with the short wheel base then see what it's like on the extended swinging arm which I think will improve the looks. But hey ho we will see. 2 Quote Link to comment
