Tiny Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Morning to all. I'm hoping the very knowledgeable on this site can help me out. I'm looking for some o-rings for a set of gsxr750 l/m forks. The o-rings in question are for the housing that holds the main seal and dust cover. Part No is 51117 08D00, fitted to gsxr750l/m, some RGV and DR models NLA from suzuki and have been unable to find any size info so far Any and all info/help will be very much appreciated cheers Tiny Quote
Wagola Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Have you tried CMSNL ? they carry loads of old spares. Quote
TLRS Posted August 10 Posted August 10 Maybe measure the space it needs to live in and find a suitable o-ring? Probably very easy to replicate suzuki packaging so wouldn’t be too bothered about stuff sold as nos. Quote
Tiny Posted August 10 Author Posted August 10 Evening. I've had a look at CMSNL on line and no stock. Have to agree about nos stuff. Could be a bit hit and miss. I'll probably end up splitting them and measuring the old oring and seeing if I can get a non genuine one. Cheers for the replies . 1 Quote

Tiny Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 No apologies necessary mate. I'll have another look on the site. Cheers. Quote
Tiny Posted August 12 Author Posted August 12 No availability on there site. I'm going to strip one down and have a measure. Hopefully it's not some random suzuki size Quote
Suzukian Posted August 16 Posted August 16 I can't apologize for the Orange President we have, I didn't vote for him or any of his ilk. I don't know if you know this, but soaking old O-rings that are just hard in Brake Fluid will bring them back to life. You will know instantly if it will work or not. Don't leave them in too long as they will swell up. 1 Quote
Tiny Posted August 16 Author Posted August 16 Cheers mate, I'll give it a go when there stripped Quote
Suzukian Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Carb Cleaner does the same thing, but Brake fluid penetrates more. That's why the rubber in brake cylinder pucks are constantly renewed by the brake fluid. Quote
