Cobby Posted July 8, 2015 Share Posted July 8, 2015 (edited) Not owned a bike for near on 8 years now and I've been tempted by a friend to buy a gsx750es he's had sat around for years, should I decide to go ahead and buy it I'll be modding it, where do I start? Cobby Posted July 8, 2015 Author Share Posted July 8, 2015 Well I have always liked them as a bike to turn into a streetfighter and the price he has offered it to me for is too good to turn down (400), the only negative is in the time he's had it he has never had it running (approx 5 yrs) however it also includes another engine for spares Quote Link to comment
Scotty750 Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 (edited) I'll keep an eye on this. Doing one myself. Want to fit an oil cooled engine though. Had one a few years ago and can be a little on the slow side. Got a scabby 750m which after a few months of hacking around on over the next month or so, I'm gonna use as a doner. alexl Posted July 9, 2015 Share Posted July 9, 2015 I had a couple, they always seemed very big for a 750, I think it was something to do with the shape of the tank, seemed about the same size as a gpz1100 my mate had. I had a new top mounted welded in place for the GSXR 750 k7/8 shock and I used the bandit swingarm and bandit linkage. The linkage is bolted to an existing mount on the frame, and I set the angle of the swing arm as per fatblokeonbandit's recommendation and got a member on another forum to make me up some custom size dogbones.Just fire away with any questions or drop me a PM if you would prefer. 2 Quote Link to comment
