Dezza Posted January 17 Posted January 17 What are the differences between 750 j,k and 1100 k slingshot forks? I guess the 1100 forks are longer seeing as the clip ons go above the top yoke but how do they compare? I have a set that are 725mm long (top of stanction to centre of spindle) but still don't know if they're 750 or 1100. Thanks in advance. Quote
Jaydee Posted January 17 Posted January 17 Got an 1127K front end here. 745mm centre axle to fork top. 43mm stantions. 1 Quote
Duckndive Posted January 17 Posted January 17 I,m sure i have 1100k in my dragbike but would need to jack it up to take the weight off to measure them 1 Quote
Upshotknothole Posted January 21 Posted January 21 Comparing K forks, 750 was Showa internals with .75Kg/mm springs. 1100 was KYB internals, .8Kg/mm springs. 1100s also had 5mm more sag when properly setup. Pretty similar for other years, including the USD forks. 750s had Showa, 1100s had slightly beefier KYBs and heavier springs for the added weight and were usually slightly longer. 1 Quote
wraith Posted January 21 Posted January 21 The 750 are slightly shorter but I can't remember how much by, think it was 10mm 1 Quote
Dezza Posted January 21 Author Posted January 21 According to @Jaydee's measurements, the forks I have are from a 750. Quote
wraith Posted January 21 Posted January 21 I've got a set of gsxr1100k on my Kat, and sitting on its own feet the forks are 740mm from top to centre of spindle. I did buy a set of gsxr750k forks once thinking they will do as spares but you could see the difference in length. Quote
