turnonePI Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Hi Guys, 89 gsxr 7/11 my gearshift linkage fell off.. Is there a bush or something that sits inside this - see pic - that connect to the rod ?? how does it clip in ?? Thanks Scott Quote
Gixer1460 Posted November 2 Posted November 2 Its called a 'Rod end' and usually available from bearing shops / suppliers for not a lot of £££ - check LH or RH threads - for linkages each end will be one or the other so adjustment can be made without disassembly. Quote
wraith Posted November 2 Posted November 2 It's fu£ked I'm afraid. You can get replacements but depends on which end you will need to buy ever the leave or the gear change bit (don't know the name of it). But the cheapest and easiest way is to cut the bar with the ball on the end off, (the bit that fits inside) drill a hole. Buy a new as @Gixer1460says a rod end and use a nylon nut and bolt to refit it. Quote
turnonePI Posted November 2 Author Posted November 2 thanks boys, i reckon i'll go the "cut the ball/s off" method Quote
