38mm 750m carbs

Pulled my lads (Avril)  carbs to bits and floating around in the bottom of one of the float bowls was this brass piece. Any ideas where it's from chaps? Cheers in advance

probably from the cold start circuit. It should be pressed in the plastic float holder thingy.

Can't find it on any of the others

Is it hollow or a plug? I've spent way too much time inside of BST38s and don't recognize it either. I do have a spare parts set that I can double check if needed, but can't say I remember ever seeing that part while cleaning or jetting those carbs.

Yes it does have a hole through it
