Builder45 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 Looking to get another crankshaft for my 1991 GSXR 1100. Water cooled cranks are plentiful and cheap - oil cooled not so much. Anyone happen to know if they can interchange? Stroke seems to have increased from 59 to 60 so might get a few more CC's too. It's a new engine build so could account for the stroke difference. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted October 22 Posted October 22 I don't believe so or everyone would be doing it! If the WP cranks are cheap enough, would it be worth buying one for a look-see? A 1mm stroke increase shouldn't be a drama - its the +4 and +5mm stroke increases that need clearance grinding to cases and rods. Quote
Builder45 Posted October 22 Author Posted October 22 Just discovered the bore to bore specs changed so they are not interchangeable. Quote
