38mm carbs apart from spacing are the oil & water model carbs the same? Can I use a steel powerjet carb in a bank of plastic powerjet carbs? Screenshot_20250902_210238_eBay.thumb.jpg.a3a1339fadb51c7d1bd986c13e9634db.jpgScreenshot_20250902_210151_eBay.thumb.jpg.a9b38e0941c6ed3810500503eb86669e.jpg

The carburetor bodies although looking very similar are not the same in fitment/directly interchangeable.

The difference in spacing isn't only down to the spacers, there are a couple of differences in the casting of the main bodies.

It can be sorted out using a file on certain areas of the WC carbs

Thanks, so is it correct that the ones with the steel pipe to rubber are oil cooled  and the plastic are water?

Thanks Baldrick, it would appear that both the metal ones and the plastic are oil cooled. WC didn't have the powerjets. The metal ones being the early ones.

They do nothing in the uk as the jet is size 0 from factory :D 1 of the pilot jets is stuck & blocked so I'm looking for a no.3 body :tu I believe the bodies are the same except what Joseph pointed out ;)
