baldrick Posted August 19 Posted August 19 hello, right i cant remember what i had for tea yesterday, but i do seem to remember slabby 11s clutch push rods are 92mm and i think gsxr11 slingys are 102mm, or it might be the other way around....fook knows anyway, anyone know the length of a bandit 1200 mk 1 clutch push rod, the one that goes from slave cylinder through the block? cheers Quote

baldrick Posted October 27 Author Posted October 27 just noticed ive got a , what looks like - a gsxr clutch fitted to this bandit engine. so do i use a gsxr length pushrod? and if so any ideas on length? is there any way to tell which model gsxr the clutch is out of? i bought the engine complete, its got bandit engine number but oddly no cc on the bottom of the barrel? fatblokeonbandit Posted October 28 Posted October 28 What i do is get a bit of 6mm wooden dowel and cut keep cutting a bit off until its the right length. much easier than keep fitting a steel rod and cutting a bit off.. 1 Quote

fatblokeonbandit Posted October 28 Posted October 28 but you have a gsxr clutch with a bandit cover and slave cylinder?? 1100k/l is 100mm I think slabbys are 92??? B12 80mm. 31 minutes ago, wraith said: And how do you know when it's the right length pull the lever and it works, it just dosent last very long Quote
baldrick Posted October 28 Author Posted October 28 so its going to be trial and error, i presume. so that the clutch puishrod, when fitted , and with the slave cylinder pushed back into its cylinder, and the cover tightened should be a tight fit, yes? Quote
fatblokeonbandit Posted October 28 Posted October 28 You want a bit of play so that when the cover is tightened and the cylinder pushed right back, it dosent push the pushord as the bolts arer tightened, and operate the clutch. 1 Quote
