Graeme Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 (edited) Trying to find a wiring diagram for a gsx750f. I think it's 1996 on as it has different cdi plugs to old oil cooled stuff. Trying to see if I can use the loom on my 88 gsxr750. Not sure if the other plugs will match up. If not, maybe I'll cut it up to wire up the track bike. Also trying to find out the rpm limit of the cdi, part number 32900 08f10. I believe earlier gsx750f had a 13.500 limit but not sure about this one. I can find diagrams for the earlier pre 96 models, but struggling with this later version. Edited August 14, 2025 by Graeme Quote
Swiss Toni Posted August 14, 2025 Posted August 14, 2025 Yeah, got one o them too! I'll PM you it. If resolution nee good, PM me your address again, and I'll post it. Quote
Graeme Posted August 14, 2025 Author Posted August 14, 2025 To answer myself, the cdi seems to have a limit of 12600. Quote
Graeme Posted August 14, 2025 Author Posted August 14, 2025 I've found the diagram for this loom and cdi. Seems the main difference and possible stumbling block for using this loom and cdi on a slingshot is the throttle position sensor. Will the cdi work without a tpi signal? What does the cdi even do with the tpi signal? I don't understand really why these later oil cooled bikes even have a tpi. Quote
Gixer1460 Posted August 15, 2025 Posted August 15, 2025 They aren't so sophisticated that the TPS really does anything of consequence! Some retard ignition at certain rpm's in certain gears to get through noise regs, some reduce power in lower gears - the 'anti - wheelie' syndrome, others do weird stuff no one even knows about . . . . . not at all like a true TPS that can be useful for a mapped ignition for example! Most peeps disconnect and carry on camping without issues! Quote
