Hi, just joined the forum today, I have a query with my 1982 Suzuki GSX 750 et, imported from Italy back in 1995, has anyone got any info on this system, and i need to replace the Brake fluid , as it is linked to the caliper, I wasn't sure what is the best way to tackle it, the anti dive seems to have a bleed nipple also, is it caliper and fluid first , then anti dive?

Thanks.

I had a problem with my '83 GS750ES front brakes.  I was sure that the anti-dive was the cause, though, to be honest, I got that opinion from what other people told me.  I took the calipers off of the fork stanchions and found that the pins that allow the caliper (Horrible design) had locked up.  I removed them, [polished the, then, with a wooden dowel and some fine Scotch Brite, stuck the pins in the holes, and spun them, with some gentle cleaner.  I sprayed them clean, applied high temperature grease, and reassembled the brakes  The bike stopped like it did when it was new.  I have come to make this a part of my couple of thousand mile servicing.  The bike stops on a dime, and personally, I love the "Anti-Dive" aspect of the bike. ;) (Undersized, I just wanted to polish the aluminum holes, having steel pins against aluminum is not a good idea, it's the recipe for oxidation,  hi temperature grease works well as it does not drip out of the assembly.)
