GS1000E crash bars

My crash bars did a fair job of saving the engine cases and I am on the hunt for another set. I see Tarozzi do them for a GSX750E (1980-83) but does anyone know if these would fit my GS1000? Or any other suppliers of crash bars?

I'm not sure the 750 crash bars will fit as I believe the 750 mounts are different to the 1000 , as I remember @gs7_11 posting drawings of the mounts he used to swap the bigger engine into his 750 frame also quick Google brought up Tarozzi crash bars for gsx1100e which I think*( *no guarantees*) have the same mounts as the gs1000 . I had a mechanic in France, who specialises in 1960s and 1970s Suzukis, do some work on my  1979 GS 1000 a couple of years ago.

I asked him to try and find some crash bars; initially he said that he didn't think he would be able to locate any, but in the end he did find a pair; they are not all chrome like the ones that I Ihad on my 1977 GS 550 E; a few parts are painted in black.

Sorry that I cannot post photos, as I will be away from the bike for a few months. I have no idea where he sourced them from, but at least they do exist.

It's amazing they have accessories for bikes these old.  I never liked case savers, but those are really nice and tight.  Not cheap though, but they look well made, and add a good look to the bike.  :)
