Hilko Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 Anyone know who can supply seals for the fuel cap on a GS 1100e. It is apparently an American import to the UK. Quote
Hilko Posted May 20, 2025 Author Posted May 20, 2025 That is if there actually is one. There wasn't on my 1100et but can definitely smell fuel from the cap on this one. Quote
nickmac Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 Can't you just make one out of whatever thickness rubber you need? 1 Quote
Upshotknothole Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 Look it up on an american parts site. www.partzilla.com has easy to use parts diagrams and only shows models we got here in the states. Once you have a part number you can see if it was ever used on a UK model or if you can find it on Eblag. Quote
Hilko Posted May 20, 2025 Author Posted May 20, 2025 The issue is I don't know if there was a seal or not. Quote
Blubber Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 There is : "That" should be a bit squishy rubber seal. Quote
Hilko Posted May 21, 2025 Author Posted May 21, 2025 Partzilla don't list a seal as a separate part as far as I can see and I cannot see the seal on Blubber's picture. Does anyone know the dimensions of the seal or where I can get one. Quote

Inner tube from a bicycle tire or if that's not big enough, the inner tube of a wheel barrowe tire. Made gaskets for the door handles of my Jag from that. Need thin rubber? Inner tubes are 9 out of 10 times the solution. Quote
Hilko Posted May 23, 2025 Author Posted May 23, 2025 Thanks all. I used the inner tube and works perfectly Quote
