MalBurn Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Hello all, Does anyone know if an Abba SkyLift is compatible with the 1983-88 Suzuki GSX550E/ES/EF? Abba informed me the necessary 17mm and 19mm swingarm adapters are available, but as they haven't tested this bike model, they can't guarantee it will work without issue. It should be fine, but if anyone here has used this combo, it would be really useful to know ahead of buying. Many thanks! Quote
wraith Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Not seen one fitted. Always nice to introduce yourself before jumping in with a question Quote

nickmac Posted April 24 Posted April 24 Still going, my mate swears by his. Essentially sockets that fit on the swingarm bolts and clamp the bike. So if they are 17 and 19mm bolt heads it should work. 1 Quote

The 19mm for the nut end is quite a good fit, but the 17mm for the bolt head not so much and has quite a bit of play. Abba were sure it would be fine once tightened in place, so I gave it a basic try and so far so good, everything fitted and no clearance issues. Fairly impressed it works with the 41yr old bike, although the rear strap use is a bit light on instructions (ie none) for bikes that can't fit a bobbin adapter. All in all pleased so far Quote
