mick-ne Posted January 26 Posted January 26 Hi, Does anyone know of a supplier for the foam clock cushions, I have seen a post here where someone used rubbers but I would like to buy the foams if possible. Cheers Quote
Swiss Toni Posted January 27 Posted January 27 (edited) That Aussie in CMM was making them. Jeff Ware, I think. He was also making the perforated silencer heat shields in stainless. Edited January 27 by Swiss Toni 1 Quote
Upshotknothole Posted January 27 Posted January 27 I've seen clock foam cushions on WeBike, pretty sure I've seen slabbie and RR/RK ones. Quote

R1guy Posted January 28 Posted January 28 Can’t you get someone to make a template of an existing one for you then make your own from from sticky backed race seat foam ? Quote

Dezza Posted February 2 Posted February 2 6 minutes ago, mick-ne said: I had thought about that but I think it might be a bit of a mission getting it round Cutting a clean hole in high density foam is quite straightforward. You do need a peice of metal or plastic tube with the same o/d as the i/d of the hole required. If you put a sharp edge on the inside of the pipe with a dremel, then slowly rotating the edge of the pipe on the foam whilst exerting slight downward pressure results in a nice clean hole. You have to take your time doing this though as going at it like a bull-in-a-china shop will result in failure (but that's the same for most things) . Quote

Joseph Posted February 3 Posted February 3 If someone on here has one that they can scan or take a proper photo of + a couple of measures, it would be a case of 10 minutes to do a vector file drawing of it which could then be sent to a laser cutting company that work with neoprene foams Quote
