gs1150 rear wheel swap

Double checking my memory,

sv650 rear wheel w/ a gs500 carrier is the most straight forward rear wheel swap for the gs1150 using the standard swinger, right?

I can't help you, I've never done a 4.5 swap on one.

Yes, sv,b6 or gsxr 4.5" with gs500 sprocket carrier is the most simple.

My current ES project is minimal mods (not very OSS, I know) I'll be more ambitious on my up coming EF project.

There is; I just stuck one in the 750ES but it was a bastard to do.

I have used a gaxr750 4.5" rim with a gsx1100f career before with no problem's, seen people put b6 in with standard carrers. The gs500 career help's and the gsx1100f is a bit narrower agane.

PS. If you want a 3.5" front wheel you can use a rf600 use's the same disc's etc as a b6 and same hub center, but has a 3.5" rim instead of a 3" like the b6 so you can fit the 120 tyre

Wellll, the GSX hub diameter is too big for the sv650 wheel. Yes it is skinnier then

my 1150 and LMN hubs so no loss there, I will need it sooner or later on some other project.

So the sprocket for the gs500 hub is a 520. Anyone know which bike's has the 530 that will fit that hub?

Gs 1000 run 630 as standard but easily changed , don't know about gs 500 hub but the thou one is 4 mm inboard of a gsxr one to give more chain clearance

It looks to me that the gs500 carrier is a shorter version of the Slabby carrier so I'm going to try a 530 Slabby sprocket.

SV650 wheel and GS500 04-09 Sprocket Carrier came in.

Slabby Sprocket fits straight on the GS500 Carrier.

Threw in some bearings to figure out wheel spacing (will fiddle with inner spacer latter)

Pretty close right off the bat.

CB750 K3 spacer for the carrier side seems to be spot on.

STD spacer and brake hanger work for wheel spacing.

Slabby Rear Disc fits alignment but diameter is too shy.

I think a Slabby brake hanger would work but bolt holes don't align and yes hole diameter is off too.

Suggestions?

A tip for the next time, on the website of JT sprockets you can compare sprockets. This way you can also see the dimensions of the sprockets! This way I assembled the sprocket setup I use on my GSX (with GS500 carrier).
