Slaby brake caliper refurbish

Hi folks,. Need to refurb callipers so that they a) work and b) get back to original gold colour.  Can I use paint remover to get rid of dodgy black paint over on now?  And any views on what paint to use to match the gold on the anti dive unit?   Thanks for any help!!

For removing old paint I use a rotary wire brush in electric drill . paint colour will vary depending who you ask. Never seen a definite answer to the question .

Ok, nice option.   I am thinking of splashing out in power bronze refurb.  Anyone used them??

Do you mean Powerhouse?

If so I used them last year,it was cheaper than buying all the parts/paint and doing it myself so would recommend, top job matched the gold paint perfectly even polished my existing bolts up rather than replacing them and losing some originality.

Stuck them back on, replaced the brake lines and now have brand new circa "87 brakes again!

I did, just cleaned up in parts washer when they were off the bike,then a bit of elbow grease to clean the road salt damage and a waft over with lacquer.
