Consecration...?
First meeting with the bike. Made a sensational reaction with the people present.

BUT...doesn't satisfy me in term of aestetic...and comportment.
Too hight on the front/ too low on the rear. Of course doesn't turn correctly.
Sourced a original MotoMartin fairing who's so BIG...
Rear suspension is too hard. Shame because they where custom made...

4 years work...nothing good...

The fairing gives it the Mad Max look a bit like the MFP police bike in film. Very cool.

If rear shocks are custom made can you not get them re-sprung or re-valved to suit what you want ?

I should always check date of post....... :)

I see you have sorted the bike quite nicely now. A Summer of fun and hard riding for you.

Hi !

Take a look on previous post.

At page 4 you have the Egli drawing that inspired the  MotoMartin brand birth. Lot of infos on this. :)

I missed it! 100mm back bone. I wonder how thick the tubes are.. probably quit thin like .75mm

How much does your complete bike weight?

I happen to have a spare 1127... and lot of parts...

Considering the manufacture date from the frame (1977) you can imagine that tubes tickness are...not particularly thin. My memory says 2mm . We can do much better today with another material quality.

The bike weight is approx 175kgs.(without fuel)

No Mag wheels, no Titanium exhaust.

With alternator, starter, battery.

And engine full of Oil.;)

Some news after a 4 years break . Bike doesn't evolved too much, except front and rear brakes and exhaust. In short enought to be bored during a trackdays.

But everything went well.

Pics was during last SundayRideClassic @circuitpaulricard in southern France.

@DAZThank you for your comment. (y)

Of course, there are always 2-3 things to improve. In particular, ground clearance that limits me a lot.

With 17" wheels, it's too low. I'm going to try with a 60 height rear tyre (currently 55) and correct trim by sliding  fork tubes.

Remove fairing under engine is another possibility. It's not essential to ride (where i ride)

Mikuni RS are already installed too.

600g you say that's interesting.

Yes.;)

I was surprised . Those calipers are tiny and built as light parts. Mounting screws on fork are M8. (Instead well know M10)

600grs less for the pair and my Brembo calipers were equiped with Titanium screws...
