Harris Magnum 2 1135EF

Recommended Posts

Last week a Harris Magnum 2 was offered on a Dutch marketplace.
Fortunately I was quick enough and was able to collect it last Saturday.
Bit of a project, but solid enough.
Has an 1127M engine in it, WP Roma forks and Öhlins shock.
Plan is to put an 1135EF engine in it, Mag 4 swingarm, some nice wheels and rework or change the tank.
Perhaps even the seat unit of the 4, as I believe this one is of a Harris F1?
We'll see, first have to find some more time... O.o

Glad you got your hands on it and not some trader. Are you going to open a shop now, you got a fair few cool bikes now don't you?

No, I do sometimes trade a bike or 2.
But these bikes are special. Not in it for the profit.
As long as I can afford it, I'll keep them and work on them.
Although having 27-ish bikes isn't helping...:$

i would check the bottom shock mount where it is welded to the frame cross member.

because harris never designed these frames to take a shock mounting there,, well the cross member of the frame isnt up to it.  it is just a thin guage steel tube, and mine was bending.

this would have led to catastrophic failure if i hadnt noticed it, and it had failed. it had been converted to a normal monoshock for a few years, but still.....id be checking and replacing.
