750 heads.

DOT heads were used on the 88-89 GSX-R 750 and on the 89-97 GSX-F/Teapots.

The DOT heads have steeper inlets, appr. 15 mm higher than the 1100/1200 heads.

The valve diameters are the same as on the 1100/1200.

Combustion chambers are appr. 20 cc, compared to 26.5 cc on the 1100/1200.

Cams were different between the R and F.

That's very interesting to know, the difference between GSXR and teapot DOT heads: so when using one on a larger engine with limited space, it seems the one to go for is the teapot. I am guessing the GSXR dot heads have wilder cams than those for teapots.

Both DOT heads R and F have the same inlet tracks the only difference is the cams lift & duration

98 and on model gsxf the mark 2 teapot went back to the standard long stroke head

set up

He's right you know :L

Of course! Meant DOT vs 1100/1200. Corrected my post.

Is this part listed on both long and short stroke 750's ? Or just peculiar to one ? Not that I've the foggiest but it may help if it's only on one,say to stop the bottom spring seat hammering into the head under racing conditions on a higher revving short stroke
