I had one on the TLS but I haven't tested it well enough to be able to give you a good, first hand idea of it's effect.

There is a gear position sensor and the TLR has a lot more maps for fueling and ignition then you'd expect. So it stands to reason it can influence the way the bike runs, by making it think it's in a certain gear. There might be guides out there to make your own, if that makes it easier for you to try. TRE or S(mart) TRE.

Or try contacting Sam/Simon Matthewman. He's probably the most knowledgeable guy in the world when it comes to TL's.

I have one on my TLS that was already on it when I bought it. Curiosity got the better of me one day and I disconnected it, took it for a ride and promptly came home and reconnected it as there was a slight but noticeable degradation in throttle response and less smooth running. HTH
