clivegto
Dropped the thunderrace front end out for a mock up with the K9 front end. Pressed the 2 stems out of the yokes, the K9 one had a adapted b12 stem in to fit a Magnum 2. Thunderrace one is 0.5mm slack in the K9 yoke. Going to use a stepped top yoke I got of @Joseph just needs a spacer making up to fit the stem. 2 Quote Link to comment

Dezza
Interesting option for those who require RWU forks then Presumably the stanctions are too thick to be allowed for classic racing. Quote Link to comment
Jdeac
Got a set of k10 yokes. If they might work Quote Link to comment

Joseph
looking good. and you're certainly putting that unused part i had on a cool project regarding the Thunderarse forks the diameter is indeed the largest of factory RWU forks however the discs are the classic Yamaha dialing in at only 298mm so if you want anything larger you need caliper offset brackets (not a fan of those myself) Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Right set about making it fit properly. Made a top hat spacer for the top yoke and a washer spacer for the bottom yoke. Ran some weld round the bottom of the steering stem then turned it down in the lathe to 0.5mm bigger than it was before, easy peasy job jobed 7 Quote Link to comment

clivegto
So I ordered one of these supposed to be more powerful than a gt28 and spool up quicker. Only £269.42 from Speeding Performance Parts, that's alright I thought then + £18.98 freight and a day later after ordering + £77.60 important tax =£366.00 It's nice and shiny though 1 Quote Link to comment

Suzukian
The dollar isn't worth anything right now, imagine how much it would cost if it were worth something. We're paying out the ass for anything imported. Quote Link to comment
Jdeac
Chop it off then clive and weld the appropriate flange on. You've got the kit to do it. Quote Link to comment
clivegto
Chop chop . Bought a stainless steel T25 threaded flange which I shaped one side out to T3 tha same as the headers. I then cut the T3 flange off the headers but left 2mm still attached. Flattened it of with my belt sander then cut the edges off. Just needs welding on now Edited April 3, 2023 by clivegto 1 Quote Link to comment
