caferacerdan Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 to help with horsepower goals with no lockup. I know Dodge on his Supabusa runs a stock cluck with some BigCC springs and hes running 380hp on that...wonder if they do a spring/friction kit for decent power output on an oil boiler? Worth a message? Either way bike looks mint! the tank and seat line is spot on (even with my fondness for angled arses ) 1 Quote
clivegto Posted December 12, 2023 Author Posted December 12, 2023 Cheers Dan, I'll ask Sean about heavy duty springs. Plan is to fit the 600 5 spring clutch to a B12 clutch, may be the busa springs will fit 1 Quote
clivegto Posted December 12, 2023 Author Posted December 12, 2023 Had a play around with a B12 bottom end. Got a counter bore tool then removed quite a bit of material from the top left engine mount on the top crank case I'll brace it up later. This has allowed the engine to move further to the left without altering the frame. Need to take a couple of mm off the bottom one as well. Don't think this will allow me to fit a lock-up clutch but I will be able to get the cover off without removing the engine from the frame. 3 Quote
clivegto Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 Well I've discovered how thick the top crank case is while cleaning it up . Quote
clivegto Posted December 13, 2023 Author Posted December 13, 2023 Took a few mm of the bottom crank case mount, the engine is just to say off centre to the left now but the lock-up clutch fits with a 10mm gap to the frame so should be able to get a case of some sort on as well time for a beer 3 Quote

clivegto Posted December 14, 2023 Author Posted December 14, 2023 Made a couple of engine spacers up for the mounts to nip the engine up tight. Can't move the engine any more to the left even if I wanted to as the gear selector shaft is 1mm from touching the frame but all is well in my eyes where it is 9 Quote
Duckndive Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 How much effect does the offset have on rear wheel and chain run Quote

The Dymags are from a ZX10r which have a massive offset so hopefully it's not going to be much of a problem. 3 Quote

clivegto Posted January 7 Author Posted January 7 Came away from Newark bike show with another set of ISR master cylinders with a slightly different design to the other's, spoilt for choice now. Also picked up some nice turbo stuff for it. 2 Quote
imago Posted January 7 Posted January 7 ISR levers look really good on special frame or race bikes, they should look trick on the concentric. I think they look a bit out of place on a modified ET or EF though. A bit too 'technical' looking if you get what I mean. 1 Quote

BasilBrush Posted February 17 Posted February 17 The swinger pivot point is really interesting. So much wider than a normal bikes. I assume that is to stop flexing at the pivot point ? Quote
