Might need some work?

My first foray here & into the turbo scene. I pretty much know nothing about them other than they nearly always are on my cars!

So i acquired this lot that clearly needs work to sort it. And seeing as i haven't a clue, it will be dumped on my mate Pete Field to mess with.

Issues i see already are turbo has play, the plenum to turbo pipe has been welded on, & the wastegate header outlet was cut off?
 

If i'm wrong on any of this, then please correct me   Oh yeah, afaik the engine is a std 1127 lump.

No idea yet, looking at acquiring a 750/1100 85-91 frame. Then i'll go from there!

As said, needs work. But it's a good start/learning point for me.

Turbo is most likely shot, but i know they can be sourced reasonably cheap(ish)

why not stick it in that drag bike you brewed up rick? mod plenum and away you go. if the turbo is goosed likely worth a rebuild perhaps. do bear in mind all turbos have some play. excessive is harder to work out mind.
