Bandit 1200 MK2 - What to do?

Hi guys.

So this Bandit 1200 sort of fell into my lap for cheap. Not sure what to do with it? Bike runs good.

I don't see many MK2's modified? Was thinking maybe a cafe racer?  I already have a 1999 MK1 and they seem to be the preferred model to modify.

I don't want to leave it as is. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

This is OSS, only heavily modified bandits are allowed on here.

So break it, turbo it, put it in a ET frame

suzuki cocked up with the mk2 its not a good looking bike they should of kept it a mk1. bin the frame and bodywork and put the rest into an old GS/GSX frame.

'Cafe racer' is a term that doesn't go down well here for all kinds of reasons, especially when used in conjunction with 'Blandit.' By the description given it sounds like you have just bought a decent donor bike .

Ive got a mk2 blandit that I've gutted and im putting in a nice shiny gsxr frame. I've taken the loom and the motor, the rest is on the tinterweb

Get the forks sorted, re-valve, springs,fit a good aftermarket shock, lighter wheels etc but keep it looking stock(ish), fit a rack,maybe even bungee a sandwich box on it, wear a dayglo belt.

Then,

Tune the f**k out of it, bore kit, cams, head job, big flatslides and have fun scaring the sh*t out of sports bikes.

You guys are right i just dont like the look of the MK2s.

I apologize about the cafe racer comment.  Now to dig out that EZ frame.
